How long will it take to obtain a Seylan Visa Debit Card?

The Visa Debit Card is now offered over the counter as an “Instant” Card at the time you open an account.

What if I lose my Seylan Visa Debit Card?

Loss of VISA cards should be reported immediately to Seylan Card Centre on 24 Hour hotline +94 11 2 008 888 and follow up with a letter. The cardholder will not be liable for any transactions performed subsequent to informing the loss of the card to the Bank.

Could I obtain a card from any branch?

You can obtain a debit card from your a/c holding branch only.

What if I lost the card?

How can I apply for a lost card?

You can apply a new debit card for a lost card, only from your a/c holding branch.

What is the validity period of the Debit Card?

The Debit Card is valid for 5 years and will be renewed thereafter, annual fees will be charged every year on the anniversary date.

Does my ATM card get renewed and why?

Cards get renewed automatically after 5 years. In case card is in inactive mode, it won’t be renewed.

How will I get to know about the Debit card promotions?

It will be communicated through media advertisements & SMS alerts.

Could I utilize my Debit card for online purchase?

In case the relevant merchant is accepting the card you can use for online purchases.

What is called OTP number & how can I get it activated?

OTP number is a 6 digit number that you will receive for your mobile number or to your e mail address when you are trying to do online transactions with VISA Verified merchants.
